WFOT Bulletin Vol 74:2 October 2018: deadline July 15 2018
Call for papers: Disaster management and working with displaced persons
Occupational therapists are working with people affected by disaster and displacement. This issue will focus on this emerging practice for occupational therapists working around the world. Disasters are becoming even more frequent globally, and there are more that 65.6 million forcibly displaced persons worldwide (UNHCR, 2017). There is an increasing need for occupational therapists to support people to develop resilience and manage changing circumstances. The involvement of occupational therapists is paramount to their wellbeing at all levels of disaster and displacement.
