You are being invited to participate in a research study titled “The Worldwide Involvement of Occupational Therapists in the Assessment and Treatment of Eating, Drinking, and Swallowing Problems.” This study is being carried out by Heather Lambert, PhD, erg., OT(C) from the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University, Montréal, in collaboration with the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).
All therapists’ opinions on this issue are very important and we respectfully ask that you please complete this survey whether or not you practice in the area. Please share the survey link with any Occupational Therapists that may not have seen this invitation.
Your participation in this study will help us explore 1) how many and in what way occupational therapists are involved in this area of practice, 2) to identify similarities and differences in various geographic locations, and 3) what opinion is amongst occupational therapists regarding practice in this area, whether or not they are involved in the area. This information will assist the WFOT in strategic planning to promote occupational therapy practice in this domain. You may not directly benefit from this research, but your participation will support your profession locally as well as support the mandate of the WFOT.

If you have questions about this project or if you have a research-related concern, you may contact the Principal Investigator Dr. Heather Lambert, at (514)398-4400 x 09021 or heather.lambert@mcgill.ca.
