Under the direction of and reporting to the Director of the Center & the Director of Therapies, the Senior Pediatric Occupational
Therapist is responsible for conducting occupational therapy evaluations for complex children visiting the center, providing
appropriate interventions that will meet their individual needs, developing programming to promote development of skills in
clinic and home setting and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

• Assess and treat motor, cognitive, perceptual motor, self care and sensory processing difficulties in the following
domains:
* Gross and fine motor skills
* Sensory processing skills
* Cognitive/Executive Function skills
* Visual perceptual skills
* Visual-motor integration and handwriting skills
* Self-Care, independence and autonomy
• Write detailed Assessment/Evaluation reports, progress and discharge reports according to the Centre’s policy;
• Create, implement and revise the individual treatment program;
• Instruct and advise parents on an occupational therapy treatment plan;
• Assess and recommend appropriate seating systems and mobility;
• Maintain records and case notes;
• Monitor and evaluate patient's progress;
• Work with clients on a one-to-one basis, and/or in groups, to deliver therapy using an interdisciplinary approach with
co-treatments with other disciplines utilized when appropriate
• Consult and work with team members of the multidisciplinary team to incorporate appropriate strategies and goals into
the child’s plan to ensure the child’s fullest development
• Maintain confidentiality about clients and their families.

months working in India.

Childhood Intervention and Development mid-senior level professionals to spend a period of 24

What does a Resident do?
• Selected Residents will be offering Early Intervention services as part of iRockit’s team in
o iRockit’s centres
o iRockit’s partner hospitals
o iRockit’s partner NGOs (typically working with the urban underprivileged)
• Teaching/training for iRockit’s Early Intervention trainees
• Sharing knowledge and best practices related to Early Childhood Intervention in the Resident’s country of practice
• Participating in conferences, seminars and other outreach platforms related to awareness
about Early Childhood Development and Intervention
• Building communication strategies and materials related to awareness about Early
Intervention and iRockit as an organization

About iRockit
iRockit is a rapidly growing private organization set up with the mission to address the challenge
of developmental delays in children between 0-6 years of age. Conservative estimates say that at
least 16.5 million children in this age group in India experience such delays.
We endorse the transdisciplinary/key worker model of Early Intervention and want to make it a
service that is accessible to all. This space is still evolving in India and we are keen to integrate
best practices from across the world and simultaneously disseminate our findings.

A leading UK specialist provider of education and care services to children, young people and adults with autism, complex needs, learning disabilities and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) is seeking an outstanding Occupational Therapist in London.
Based at a specialist education facility for pupils aged between 5-19 years old, and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the role of Lead Occupational Therapist has responsibility for managing a small team providing a specialist Occupational Therapy service to children with autism and learning difficulties. Working with children individually in specialist treatment areas or within classroom based sessions, you will have a key role in shaping the way Occupational Therapy is delivered, with a strong emphasis on sensory processing and motor development. Involved in the assessments of students with diverse presentations, you will identify their individual sensory, physical, social and environmental needs whilst supporting the development and delivery of individualised intervention programmes to help learning and to enable meaningful engagement in activities, social interaction and relationships.
Offered on a permanent full time basis working 38.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year) this role would suit a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience of working with ASD or similar.
Further duties of the role as follows:
• Managing a small team of Occupational Therapists
• Providing accurate prognoses and recommend best course of intervention, developing comprehensive transition
• Formulating and delivering on individual Occupational Therapy intervention programmes, using your knowledge of evidence based practice and intervention options and using clinical assessment, reasoning and intervention skills to include motor sensory cognitive/perceptual assessments
• Evaluating client progress, reassessing and altering intervention programmes as required
• Representing the occupational therapy service or individual clients at multi-disciplinary meetings to ensure the delivery of integrated occupational therapy intervention by discussing client care, progress and involvement in transition planning
